Courteau has 45 years’ experience in women’s basketball officiating
She officiated WNBA games from 1997-2011, including 13 WNBA Finals and two WNBA All-Star games
Courteau officiated in 12 NCAA Women’s Final Fours including 5 National Championship games
She participated in 20 NCAA Division I Championships and is currently the NCAA Coordinator of Officials
Courteau was the 1989 Naismith Official of the Year and 1990 Atlantic Coast Conference Official of the Year.
She was the 2013 recipient of the Jostens-Berenson Lifetime Achievement Award
Courteau was an official for the 1992 Olympic games, 1991 Pan American games, and 1989 World Championship tournament.
Courteau was the recipient of the 1998 Minnesota Girls & Women in Sports award for leadership and support of girls and women’s sports
She officiated 2 years in the American Basketball League (ABL) including the ABL Championship game
