All American Redheads

Formed in 1936 in Cassville, Missouri, the All American Redheads spent fifty years touring the country, playing men's teams by men's rules and winning far more often than anyone expected. Dyed red hair, trick shots, and barnstorming showmanship made them a sensation, but underneath the entertainment was something serious: proof that women could compete, and win, on any court in America. This exhibit features the limousine the Redheads traveled the country in, complete with their sequin suitcases, on display at the Hall since its founding in 1999. Visitors will also find uniforms and other memorabilia from their decades on the road.
