WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME ISSUES STATEMENT ON MAY 23 INCIDENT

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame is aware of the incident that occurred on the morning of May 23, 2026, in which an individual caused damage to some exterior windows of our facility. We are grateful that law enforcement responded swiftly and that a suspect has since been charged in connection with the incident.
Thanks to our onsite security measures, no artifacts were damaged and nothing was taken. The safety of our collection and the preservation of women's basketball history remain our highest priorities. We are cooperating fully with the Knoxville Police Department as needed.
The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame remains open and we look forward to continuing to serve our visitors and community.
