Lurlyne Greer Rogers

• Was an eight-time AAU All-American (1947–1954)
• Played on a national championship team with Cook's Goldblumes (1948, 1949)
• Received the Lewis E. Teague Award as the most outstanding amateur athlete in the Carolinas (1952)
• Played on national championship teams with Hanes Hosiery (1952, 1953)
• Was selected Most Valuable Player at the AAU National Championships three times (1952, 1953, 1954)
• Served as captain of the USA squad that captured the gold medal at the 1955 Pan American Games in Mexico City, marking the first time women's basketball was included in that event
• Averaged 18.3 ppg at the Pan American Games and set USA records for most points in a single game (30) and in the tournament (128)
• Also set USA records for free throws made (13), free throws attempted (23), and free throw percentage (9-for-9, 1.000) in a single game at the Pan American Games
• Played professionally with Hazel Walker's Arkansas Travelers upon the conclusion of her amateur career
