Began officiating in 1972, going on to a decades-long career, and continues today as coordinator of the Women's Basketball Officiating Consortium, spanning eight conferences
Officiated the Indiana High School State Finals (1982, 1983)
Was the first woman to officiate the Pan American Games (1987)
Became one of only two American officials — and the second female official ever — to work an Olympics, at the 1988 Games in Seoul
Was the inaugural winner of the Naismith Female Basketball Official of the Year Award (1988)
Received the CYO Volunteer Coaching Award (1989) and the St. John Bosco Award, the highest honor for contributions to the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) (1990)
Was commissioned as a Distinguished Hoosier by the Office of Indiana Governor Evan Bayh (Nov. 30, 1995)
Served as the WNBA's Director of Officials (2002-2004)
Served on the CYO's Board of Directors (2004-2007)
Has extensive officiating experience at the high school, college, international, and professional levels, including seven Final Fours, the inaugural WNBA All-Star Game (1999), six WNBA Championships, two ABL Finals, and three ABL All-Star Games
