Anne Donovan

• As a freshman, led Old Dominion to a 37-1 record and the AIAW National Championship (1980)
• Led ODU to NCAA Final Four appearances (1982, 1983)
• Finished her ODU career as the school's all-time leader in points (2,719) and rebounds (1,976), and the NCAA's all-time leader in blocked shots (801)
• Three-time Kodak All-American and two-time Academic All-American (1981-1983)
• Became the first woman to win the Naismith Trophy as national Player of the Year (1983)
• Earned a silver medal at the FIBA World Championship (1983)
• Selected to the 1980 Olympic Team, which boycotted the Moscow Games
• Earned Olympic gold medals as a player (1984, 1988)
• Played professionally in Japan (1983-1988) and Italy (1988-1989)
• Returned to Old Dominion as an assistant coach (1989-1995)
• Served as head coach at East Carolina, leading the Lady Pirates to the 1997 CAA finals (1995-1998)
• Became the first woman to coach a team to a WNBA Championship, guiding the Seattle Storm to the 2004 title (2003-2007)
• Served as an assistant coach for three U.S. Olympic and World Championship gold medal teams (1998, 2002, 2004)
• Named head coach of the USA Basketball Women's National Team, winning gold at the 2006 World Championship and the 2008 Beijing Olympics
• Closed her coaching career with stops at Seton Hall (2010-2013) and the Connecticut Sun (2013-2015)
