  • List of National Coach of the Year accolades includes being named National Junior/Community College Basketball Coach of the Year by the Stayfree Corporation (1981) and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (1988, 1998)
  • Compiled a final record of 887-197 in 33 seasons as head women's basketball coach at Illinois Central College (1969-2003)
  • Guided ICC to five National Junior College Athletic Association Division II national championships (1992, 1993, 1998, 1999, 2003)
  • Also named National Junior College/Community College Division II Coach of the Year by the NJCAA (1992, 1993, 1998, 1999)
  • Also coached softball at Illinois Central College with a 28-year record of 840-309 and is the only coach in the history of NJCAA athletics to win a national championship in both basketball and softball in the same year (1998)
